GOING FORWARD
Lost count of the number of days. What can I say: busy finishing working at Oromocto, vacation at the cottage for my 65th Birthday Bash, final packing for the Big Move and the finalizing of the sale of the Oromocto house. And for the past week, been busy trying to get things set up and organized in the camper at the same time as operating the AirBNB, while dragging my butt in the heat and dealing with a summer cold.
Trying to get back on track with the blog now that Terry has finally been able to start his part of the build. Slow process as I have to get photos from our phones onto the laptop to upload to the blog. So, sometimes photos may get added later.
Once the cement exterior walls were up for the basement, the plumber arrived to do the rough-ins for the basement bathroom as well as sump pump and septic system.
Everything passed inspections. Guess the internet speeds up the process: when Terry called the various trades to alert them that inspections were passed, they already knew. I have to assume they are able to set themselves up to get alerts from the government. I doubt the inspection department contacts each trade.
The cement guys then returned to pour the cement floor. We watched via the security camera from our living room in Oromocto.
Positioned a sprinkler for Terry to monitor the watering so the cement could properly cure in the extreme heat.
Part of the drainage from the basement includes a pipe running out to the cliff. Grass will eventually cover the earth again.
